A long-term raw food diet has been said to prolong the onset of menopause by up to 10 years compared to when your mum had hers. In addition, wild yam cream can provide a natural way to reduce negative menopause symptoms.
Blood tests for hormones can provide information on hormone imbalances. Hair mineral analysis can help detoxify heavy metals, such as copper, which can have a very negative effect on hormones (although I don't recommend this route anymore). According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, hydration is important to keep hormones balanced because the hormones are in the body fluids and the fluids help them to get to the right places. Eliminating sugar is important because it is dehydrating and very disruptive to the body as a whole. Yoga has also been effectively used as a way to balance hormones.
Vitex essential oil has been reported to help with menopause symptoms as well.
Book: 'The Vitamin Cure for Women's Health Problems' by Helen Saul Case discusses menstrual issues among other things.

I have struggled with extremely painful menstrual cramps and associated problems since the age of 13. Over time, these problems started to get worse, eventually lasting two days at the onset of menstruation. Through research in natural health and much experimentation, I found many short-term and long-term solutions to reducing and eliminating menstrual pain. The various methods are discussed in the articles below.
My latest finding was that anemia may be either causing or exacerbating the cramps. I realized that eating a protein-rich vegan, dairy-free diet, together with iron supplementation, helped reduce the pain. The pain seemed to reduce even further after one month of supplementation with copper. This finding may seem contradictory to many people who blame copper for the menstrual and hormonal problems, however, copper deficiency is also linked with anemia. Toxic copper and good quality nutritious copper are two different things. More information here: Hyperthyroidism Caused by Copper Deficiency?

"Mental Health Treatment That Works (external link)
Diet and Mental Health Strongly Connected, Research Finds
"The relationship between mental illness and allergies has [...] received little attention, but individual clinical successes indicate that such relationships exist. One of the best know is allergy to wheat. In certain individuals, the behavioral symptoms brought on by eating wheat-containing foods cannot be distinguished from the classical behavioral signs of schizophrenia. These schizophrenic behaviors completely subside within a few days of completely removing all traces of wheat from the diet of these 'patients'. Another, highly unusual case showed a reaction to very small amounts (drops) of red wine that elicited murderous behavior. [...]
"When the underlying malnutrition, allergies, and toxicity are addressed, these conditions, the behaviors they generate, and the people who perform these out-of-control behaviors may settle down, at least in some cases. For these people, nutritional improvement is a cost-effective, humane, and life-transforming possibility well worth the effort."
- Udo Erasmus, in 'Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill', pp. 357-358
"Do you suffer from depression, anxiety, brain fog, headaches, or insomnia? Howabout Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, dementia, multiple sclerosis, ALS, seizures, ME/CFS, or autism? All of these neurological conditions have a common cause - chronic inflammation of the brain. Now answer this question - Have you ever taken antibiotics? If so, then the likelihood that you'll experience one of these conditions, or others like them, is much greater. A round of antibiotics will destroy all the bacteria in your body within 5 to 7 days, causing a massive release of bacterial toxins into the circulatory system that prime your brain for a lifetime of chronic neuro-inflammation. This condition, Blood-Brain Barrier Hyperpermeability Syndrome, or 'Leaky Brain', can cause varying degrees of inflammation that can lead to the 'diseases' and conditions listed above, as well as many others."

Gut health and mental health are also strongly linked. Read: natural health remedy for intestinal dysbiosis.
"Biochemical syndromes of importance in mood and behaviour disorders are those that ultimately influence neurotransmitter production, release, inhibition, and signal transduction. Various segments of the mood and behaviour disorder population fall into subgroups of distinct biochemical imbalance. We often see subgroups of essential fatty acid deficiency, inadequate nutriture, dysglycemia, food intolerance, digestive compromise, malabsorption, under-methylation, vitamin B3 deficiency, vitamin C deficiency, heavy metal toxicity, B6 deficiency, zinc deficiency, brain hypothyroidism, and hypoadrenia. [...] The goal of orthomolecular medicine is to correct the causative factors that influence biochemistry."

Triggers for migraines can be: fluorescent lights, coffee, dehydration, smoking or alcohol abuse, high blood pressure or hypoglycaemia, vitamin B or D deficiency, mineral imbalances, reaction to food additives, such as MSG, sugar, colorings or preservatives; oral contraceptives; prescription medication; food allergies; food intolerances. (11)
Read: "Drug-Free Solutions for Migraines and Headaches" (6). This article has plenty of good information.
Book: 'Headache Free: Relieve Migraines, Tension, Cluster, Menstrual, and Lyme Headaches' by Suzy Cohen, a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine.
"The Green Juice That Saved Me from Migraines"
Dr Andrew Saul says:
"MIGRAINE HEADACHE: First off, look up the side effects of any medication you take in the Physician's Desk Reference (PDR), available to read at any library, pharmacy or doctor's office. Eat lots of fiber to help reduce hormonal buildup. See a chiropractor and have your upper vertebrae checked. Eliminate junk food and stop eating dairy products. Try the Gerson diet: vegetable juices and a salt-free, mostly vegetarian diet."
".. it was because he had chronic, severe migraines that Max Gerson got into vitamins and juicing He found no help in the drugs of the day. Remember, he was a doctor, and he well knew what was available. Plus, he had colleagues to help with the search. Nothing worked. [...] Gerson tried different foods, doing an early version of what was probably much like allergy testing. He found that juiced vegetables, not medicines, were the cure for his headaches. He was a surprised as you would be, perhaps even more so because he was a drug doctor who had been taught nothing of natural healing, except perhaps contempt for it.
"Nothing succeeds like success. Word got around and people started to seek out this doctor who cured migraines when the other doctors failed to. Gerson began to note that many of his migraine patients were also getting cures of assorted conditions that they hadn't even initially told him about. He reasoned that juicing was a "metabolic therapy," non-specific and broad spectrum in nature. [...] "Adding vitamin supplements to the regimen, he now had a therapy so effective that he was experiencing success on a large scale. One of his patients was the great missionary physician Albert Schweitzer, M.D.. Schweitzer himself said, of Gerson, that 'he was a medical genius who walked among us.' High praise indeed from a Nobel prize winner."
- Dr. Andrew Saul on Doctoryourself.com
The following natural health remedies can help overcome migraines (11):
- Preventative herbs: feverfew, butterbur extract (take for 2-3 months)
- Help ease the pain after the onset of migraine: hydrotherapy; contrast showers (alternate hot and cold showers); feet in cold water and a hot damp towel on the back of the neck.
- Acupressure, e.g. pinching the soft tissue between your thumb and forefinger can help alleviate pain as well.
- Long-term relief: Diet corrections: no coffee or soda but water; eat more vegetables; juice; correct nutritional deficiencies; correct body pH.
- Aromatherapy: peppermint and lavender as primary, but rosemary, eucalyptus, sandalwood and basil can help as well.
Note that migraines can be a symptom of one or many food intolerances and note also that the symptoms of intolerances/ sensitivities can come with a delay of many days. So you may eat something and the headache can appear days later. Use the pulse test to test for food allergies for free at home.
Whereas grounding seems to help for my mild headaches very quickly, the person in this article ( http://blog.paradigm-sys.com/396/ ) says that 'grounding' only worked for his headaches after using it daily for a longer time each day. For a few days nothing happened and then suddenly the pain went away. And he had had very bad, constant headaches.
Personally, I would go straight to juice fasting and raw foods if I was trying to heal migraine pain, because these extreme cleansing methods are balancing and detoxifying on a cellular level. As Charlotte Gerson says: "When the body heals, it heals everything." But even then it would be important to eliminate dairy, grains, sugar, at least in the beginning, and to eliminate any food and chemical sensitivities/ intolerances as well. Keeping well hydrated is crucial for headaches and enemas and colonics can help to detoxify faster.

Much of the mass-produced food today is not very rich in minerals. It is argued that the soil our food in grown in is depleted of many essential mineral nutrients. The result can be wide-spread mineral deficiencies, and some say that nearly 100% of people living in industrial societies today are deficient in many key minerals: both macro-minerals and trace minerals. Others go as far to state that most of us are born mineral deficient, and the problem just gets worse by each generation. Especially mental health problems, such as depression and aggressive tendencies, have been shown to be linked to various mineral deficiencies.
Dr. Joel Wallach received a nomination for the Nobel Prize for finding out that selenium-deficiency is a key element in cancer. His book: 'Rare Earths, Forbidden Cures' has plenty of information about mineral deficiencies. He claims that our health does not depend so much on a specific diet, as long as we eat as natural food as possible, and supplement with minerals and vitamins where necessary. In his view the natural lifespan of humans lies between 120-140 years.
David Wolfe has reported that he cured his allergies by taking one teaspoon of good-quality natural salt in water every day. Note: This will not work with table salt. The reason natural salt, such as Himalayan rock salt or good quality sea salt, may help with allergies is because it has many minerals within it. Some researchers and nutritionists believe that mineral deficiencies are the cause of most, if not all, diseases of the human body.
"All diseases of humanity can be attributed to the lack of minerals in our bodies. [...] You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency." - Linus Pauling, winner of two Nobel Prizes
"Even before medical school, I read everything I could about natural health. After over 45 years of study, I'm convinced that mineral supplementation is the most valuable healing tool you can use. It's the easiest to implement, the most cost effective and the most valuable for your health." - Dr. Carolyn Dean, MD, ND
To grow supermineralized foods in your garden, research 'high brix gardening'. You can measure mineral content of different foods using a refractometer, which is fairly cheap to buy.
Drinking small amounts of sea water may help to supplement with minerals, however, excess salt and bromium, among other things, may pose a health hazard.
Wild foods in general are much more mineral-rich than farmed foods.
Minerals have to be in correct form for the human body to be able to utilise. Chelated and ionic minerals seem to currently enjoy the best reputation for quality supplements. Some are in favour of colloidal minerals, others strictly against. Elemental minerals are generally not recommended. There is much debate about the benefits and potential dangers of all these forms of supplement.
Dr. Carolyn Dean, the Author of the book 'Magnesium Miracle' recommends angstrom-sized minerals. She writes:
"When I began using the right type of magnesium I finally found relief for most of my magnesium deficiency symptoms (heart palpitations, charley horses, insomnia, muscle twitching) with no laxative effect. [...] it was in a form called angstrom magnesium. Angstrom is simply a word that stands for a unit of measurement. One angstrom equals one-tenth of a nanometer (0.1nm); or 100 picometers or [...] one ten billionth of a meter [...]
"In the past few years physicists have determined that the mineral ion channels that are the gateways through which minerals enter cells are only 400-500 picometers in diameter. Ion channels are composed of proteins that form pores through a cell membrane. These specialized proteins help establish and control the voltage traveling across the cell membranes by allowing ions to flow along a particular gradient. That may not make a lot of sense to you but these ion channels are crucial components of the membranes that surround all biological cells. [...]
"Dr. Wood realized these minerals ['picometer' minerals, i.e. angstrom-sized] are almost completely absorbed in the face of maldigestion and/or malabsorption as they completely bypass the gut and they do not have to be attached to carrier protein molecules that must be digested before the mineral is absorbed. [...]
"... a few parts per million (ppm) of a molecular mineral can do a better job than hundreds of thousands of milligrams of the same mineral in non-picometer form. [...] Because picometer-sized minerals are absorbed directly into cells, they improve cell function immediately. [...]
"These minerals are not chelates or colloids or anything you've ever heard of before. Using a proprietary process the minerals are broken down into a soluble form that is the same size as the minerals absorbed through plant rootlets and the same size as cell mineral ion channels."
Dr Carolyn Dean uses the word 'picometer-sized', which is her terminology and as far as I understand means the same as angstrom-sized or ionic. In her book, 'Invisible Minerals, Part 1: Magnesium', she explains why she chose to call a 'proprietary' (i.e. lab-made) version of angstrom-sized minerals (which she now sells under the supplement names of ReMag and ReMyte) by a different name:
"I chose to call the form of magnesium that I now recommend 'Pico-Ionic' to bring it into the better known scientific metric system and to stay away from the word 'nano' which has become synonymous with nanotechnology that many people consider potentially invasive." - Dr. Carolyn Dean
The only reason I point out the naming differences Dr. Carolyn Dean uses is to help make sense of the very interesting quotes from her book above. I am not against the supplements she provides, they sound very effective. However, as she states - and this I believe is very important to realize - these high-tech sounding minerals - angstrom sized, ionic, etc. - are very similar in size to the minerals we receive from plants and because of their size so much better absorbed than mineral salts.
Personally I also am scared of nano-sized lab made supplements and prefer to get my ionic and angstrom-sized minerals in natural form if at all possible.
I just began supplementing with ionic trace minerals from Trace Minerals Research, and just one day of taking 3x 1 teaspoons of the drops with water seems to be making me feel stronger. (This is a higher dose than recommended on the bottle.) It also seems as if my food intolerance symptoms get quickly reduced by taking the minerals. These are very early, initial feelings and may be caused by something else. I will report back once I have supplemented for a longer period of time.
I regularly order from iHerb and if you order through the link below (whether you are a new or existing customer) you will get 5% off your purchase. They ship to many different countries:
Minerals have been said to be catalysts needed for all body's functions, and therefore almost every health problem imaginable can be linked to a mineral deficiency. According to some reports vitamins can't do there job if minerals are not there in sufficient quantity.
There is an interesting discussion here, on Curezone: Ionic Trace Mineral Drops - Are They Safe?. Mainly this:
"In nature you can't get around the harmful elements, but the beneficial minerals protect the body from absorbing the harmful minerals. The most important consideration is to ensure your body has mineral reserves met so that it can function properly and detoxify the body of any heavy metals and other toxins. [...] I firmly believe that all disease starts with minerals lacking. I came across an animal study where they took 2 groups fed them the same diet, but one group received distilled water laced with arsenic and the other group received mineralized (cal, mag & other trace elements) water also laced with arsenic. What they found was that the group receiving the minerals were able to detoxify their system better than the group without the minerals, thus the mineralized group did not suffer from arsenic poisoning!" - Anonymous commenter on CureZone, link to the full discussion above
One can have too much of a certain mineral too, and the most typical toxic mineral problem seems to be calcification. HTMA test (hair tissue mineral analysis) is often recommended to check mineral levels of the body's tissue. My personal experience with this, however, has been that this mineral test is only as useful as the nutritionist interpreting it. I have not yet found a nutritionist or a lab to recommend (the once I have used didn't seem to be very reliable) but will hopefully be able to try different ones over time and report back. The test is expensive and many of the recommended supplements can be dangerous - especially in the recommended high quantities - so proceed with caution.
Note that osteoporosis has been reported by Dr. Robert Thompson (in his book The Calcium Lie II) to be caused by a deficiency of many minerals and not just calcium.
Hair mineral analysis and subsequent work with a nutritionist will allow you to detect and correct mineral deficiencies (although I don't recommend this route anymore). Note that such deficiencies are capable of sometimes producing very serious symptoms, as discussed in the book: Brain Allergies. Safest route is to work with a specialist doctor to get your mineral balanced, however, if you can't find or afford a good enough specialist, the less safe route (which I am taking) is to research each the deficiency and toxicity symptoms of each mineral carefully and experiment with supplementation from there. My current approach is to take the multi-mineral supplement (as explained above) and not test my mineral levels for a while, to save money.
Weston A. Price Foundation's 'Mineral Primer', written by Sally Fallon and Mary G. Enig, opposes the use of chelated mineral supplements (except when prescribed by a experienced health care practitioner):
"Minerals are usually absorbed in ionic form. If they are not in ionic form when consumed, they are ionized in the gut, with salts dissolving into their two components or chelates releasing their key elements. The system by which mineral ions are then absorbed is truly remarkable. If, for example, the body needs calcium, the parathyroid gland will send a signal to the intetinal wall to form a calcium-binding protein. That calcium-binding protein will then pick up a free calcium ion, transport it through the intestinal mucosa and release it into the blood. [...] Some commercial interests sell minerals chelated to amino acids which they claim do not break down in the gut, but which pass in their entirety through the mucosa and into the blood, thus bypassing certain blocks to mineral absorption. However, such products, if they work, bypass the body's exquisitely designed system for taking in just what it needs and may cause serious imbalances. [...] The proper way to take minerals is through mineral-rich water; through nutrient-dense foods and beverages; through mineral-rich bone broths [...]; trough the use of unrefined sea salt; and by adding small amounts of fine clay or mud as a supplement to water or food..."
An excellent book to read on minerals and to determine which minerals you may need is: "Elizabeth Louise Hutjes: The Synergy Between Minerals and Important Physiological Processes". It is available to purchase from Eidon Ionic Minerals.
The above book is especially important because minerals have to be balanced. If you take a mineral which you are not deficient in you can make the imbalances worse and block other minerals from absorbing, etc.

Mold illness is also called biotoxin illness. Some molds that cause illness in humans include: Alternaria, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Penicillium, and Stachybotrys.
Watch Dave Asprey's documentary: MOLDY The Movie: Resources For Avoiding Toxic Mold Exposure at Home.
See aspergillus infection as information there is relevant to many different mold infections. See also the more general entry on infections.
Look into ozone therapies and isopathic therapies for clearing mold infections, and observe a diet which eliminates all sources of mold. More serious infections may show up in x-rays so see your doctor, as well as using alternative natural remedies.
Ozonated water can be used to eliminate mold externally and help fight inflammation and biotoxins internally. I use a water ozonator from Sota Instruments to create ozonated water, and use it in a spray bottle to clear mold off the old the single-glazed windows (in the winter). It has to be used within 10 minutes, otherwise the ozone is gone. The water ozonator has to be good enough to create enough ozone in the water for it to be effective.
Additionally, I soak dried foods (such as nuts and dried fruit) in ozone water to kill off any tiny spores of mold there may be on those. I seem to tolerate nuts much better when using this treatment.
Drinking ozonated water is very controversial, as it may act as a free radical in the body. On the other hand, there are many testimonials advocating its use, stating that it strengthens the immune system, provides more oxygen to the blood and brain, and eliminates candida among other pathogens. I don't currently have a conclusive opinion on whether ozone water is healthful or not but will update here once I find out more.
In an experiment we did at home, silver colloid promoted mold growth on a fruit instead of inhibiting it.

To relieve the itch of the mosquito bite, you can use ice packs on the bite, or soak the bite in extremely cold water. This should relieve the itch immediately.
I have also found that Tiger Balm, which can be purchased in many health food stores and Chinese Supermarkets, helps to relieve the itch, although it takes a little while before it takes effect.
According to some sources, lavender essential oil directly on the the bite can help as well.
According to yet other sources, the juice of the leaves of a plantain plant can provide a very effective natural remedy against mosquito bites.
I know someone whose whole hand swells up into a ball if he gets a mosquito bite on it. The reaction takes couple of days to appear after the bite but it is quite bad and seems like an allergic reaction. Trying not to scratch is of course very important, but in case of inflammation or swelling, medical treatment or a visit to the doctor may be required. Once he got over the situation by soaking the whole hand in disinfective liquid for some 15 minutes, and later during the same day another 15 minutes. This allowed the disinfectant get inside the hand into the bite, without having to break the skin and risk exposing the wound to infections.

Before using colloidal silver, make sure to read the above articles to ensure the correct dosage and safe use of silver products, as well as to increase your chances of success.
You can make colloidal silver at home using a Sota instruments' silver pulser and .9999 pure silver.
I also made it before just by running the electricity of 3x 9V batteries from one silver rod to another, while the ends of the silver rods were submerged in drinking water. I am not sure whether this is a safe procedure, but it is described by Bob Beck in his lectures on the Bob Beck Protocol (available on You Tube). Making colloidal silver at home is generally much more affordable than buying ready colloidal-silver products.
The rest of the Bob Beck Protocol may also be effective against these minute microorganisms, i.e. blood electrification and magnetic pulser. These are both also available to purchase from Sota Instruments, but Bob Beck also describes how to make them yourself at home in his videos.
